02What we collect and why

We only collect what you give us through a form, plus anonymous statistics about how the site is used.

Call-back requests
The reason you choose, your email address and phone number, the day and time slot you pick, and the confirmations you tick. We use them to call you back and follow up on your request.
Quote requests
Your name, email address and phone number, whether that number is on WhatsApp, and the service you need. We use them to contact you, arrange a short call and prepare your quote.
Where you came from
With a call-back or quote request we also record the page you sent it from, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link (UTM). This tells us which channels bring enquiries.
Newsletter
Your email address, where you signed up, and when you subscribed or unsubscribed. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Site statistics
Pages viewed, articles read to the end, the referring website and device type (mobile, tablet or desktop). No cookies are used and IP addresses are not stored: visits are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day, so you cannot be followed over time. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted at all.

We do not use advertising trackers, sell personal data, or build profiles about you.

03Why we are allowed to

  • Call-back and quote requests: to respond to the request you made (steps before a possible contract).
  • Newsletter: your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every issue.
  • Site statistics: our legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful, done without cookies or identifying you.

04How long we keep it

Call-back and quote requests
Up to 24 months after our last contact, unless they become part of a client relationship, in which case our contract records apply.
Newsletter
While you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe we keep only your address and the date, so we never email you again by mistake. Ask us and we will delete that too.
Site statistics
13 months, then deleted automatically.

05Cookies and embedded content

The public website does not set cookies. The administration area used by Genzis staff uses essential session cookies so editors can sign in.

Some pages include a YouTube video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; the video then plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to that playback.

Links to our products (GenConnect, Lilla, SWorld, bkinAPI) and other websites lead to sites with their own privacy policies.

06Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run the site — hosting and email delivery — and only so they can do that job for us. They may not use it for anything else. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside Cameroon. When that happens we choose providers that protect it to a standard comparable with Cameroonian law.

07How we protect it

Data is sent over encrypted connections, stored on systems Genzis manages, and accessible only to the staff who need it, through accounts protected by individual credentials. Forms are protected against automated abuse.

08Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your data, unless we must keep it by law;
  • stop using your data for a particular purpose, or withdraw your consent.

Email hello@genzis.net and we will reply within 30 days. Every newsletter also contains a one-click unsubscribe link. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the competent data-protection authority in Cameroon.

09Children

genzis.net is meant for organisations and adults. SWorld, our youth community, runs on its own website with its own safeguards and policies.

10Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and its date. Significant changes will be announced to newsletter subscribers.
